August 2024 in Dark Goddess Collective brings a connection to Bastet! Originally depicted with the head of a Lioness, she has many mysteries to uncover for ourselves. May you find her roar to be a powerful force within which you find yours too!
The Month Ahead
Theme: Season of the Torches
The Season of The Torches is that of carrying the flame forward as our ripple continues its impact. The Rising Flame begins to slowly die down and it is the time to rebalance, remove, and reformulate our path forward.
Goddess: Bastet
Bastet is an ancient Egyptian Goddess worshipped in Bubastis around the 3rd millennium BCE. Her mysteries grant us connection to an energetic force, through time and space, linked with the likes of Sekhmet, Isis, and Ra. In addition, our abilities as witches to be multilingual can summon greater translations of symbolism within the stories we find.
