Before I crafted my altar, I felt like I needed to understand the Wheel of Fortune in tarot much better. The symbols and energetic currents come through beautifully on the deck I use (Thoth). The 3 Alchemical Principles are present: Salt, Mercury, and Sulfur. The translations of these principles upon the human are related to the physical, the spirit, and the soul. It includes the pattern of nature of here and is Jupiter-ruled. However, I urge you to peer deeper into such expansiveness. It is the expansiveness of the one thing that is guaranteed: Change.
Our Wheel of Fortune
During our collaboration forum within the community, we spoke deeply about crafting a unique Wheel of Fortune as the altar. Then Fortuna told me I already have one and it reminded me of a thought that I often have: my life is the ritual. When I was born, there is a wheel in which I was given upon my first breath. The natal chart. Within it includes the lot of Fortune and it has a story to tell each of us!
Tip: Go ahead and print your natal chart out and allow it to be the base of your altar!
The Cosmology

The Myth of Er
At the end of Plato’s Republic there is a myth regarding cosmology and the wheel that is life. It recounts the process of meeting with Fortuna and the Fates, descending back into matter, and goes deeply into reconciling fate and personal agency! You can read more about that here.
