Working with Eris as Storm Bringer, as a daughter of Night, can fill us with apprehension or with fear. Those are old stories of the men who fear women and need someone to blame for their misfortune and ignorant choices.
I said what I said.
Now we are going to hear her story.
The Black Sacred Candle
The Black Sacred Candle this month is not only to protect your magic and space, but to allow a deeper connection to the energy of Eris as storm bringer. This connection is important to our craft and to the knowing of ourselves. We carry this same energy and can learn how to harness it to navigate ourselves through the storms of everyday life.
Never created a Black Sacred Candle? We have you covered! Learn how in this free three-part series.
Ingredients
- Candle
- Eris Awareness Oil
- Clove
- Cinnamon
Cinnamon and clove are important in this work because we are looking to draw in the abundance that comes from embracing the storms she reveals.

Additional Items Needed:
- Small plate
Directions:
- Place the Candle on the small plate
- Pour about 1 tbsp of the Eris Awareness Oil on the top of the candle, allow it to drip down the sides.
- Using the cinnamon and clove, create a barrier surrounding the base of the candle and then sprinkle a small amount of each on the top.
- Using your hand, move the candle around the plate in a clockwise motion to cover the base of the candle in the cinnamon and clove.

A candle and a key,
Kaycee
