As we head toward the Full Moon in Gemini, it is a great time to hold the tension of who we are and who we are not. Many Goddesses, including Inanna, hold this tension. We are in the Season of The Embers (for anyone who took New Witch, Who Dis 2024). This is the time to remove that which no longer belongs, so our internal spark prepares for the next season.

Altar of Embers
Whether you are planning to join The Unbecoming Ritual with Inanna or not, this altar is an ode to that which we release through the gates. The Altar of Embers is meant to bring greater clarity around our true spark, who we are at the center, to allow the untruths to be revealed and removed.
Supplies:
- Black Sacred Candle
- Oil of Inanna
- Sigil to Inanna
- Unbecoming Zine
- 7 Cards/Materials(see below)
- Offerings to Inanna and any of your guides

Directions:
- Light your Black Sacred Candle to create the sacred space or the circle within which you are working. Cleanse the space physically and energetically honoring Inanna and yourself. This could be with cloth and water to remove dust, rearranging items to clear the space, and then using a great smoke blend you have crafted.
- Place the Sigil to Inanna at the center of the space you are building. Perhaps pause and trace the sigil with a finger. Call to her. For it is a call to the part of self that has a spark of her too.
- Place the Black Sacred Candle on top of the Sigil to Inanna.
- Add the Unbecoming Zine to the altar where you see fit.
- Add the Oil of Inanna to the altar where you see fit.
- Add the offerings to the altar where you see fit.

- On the Full Moon, it is time to sit with your divination tool of choice and get grounded deeply. Lately, I have found it useful to put on headphones even if I am listening to nothing. Perhaps you prefer to listen to drumming and rocking back and forth. Do what works for you and allow this Full Moon to illuminate truth, even if it creates that sacred tension with Gemini. Being ruled by Mercury and Mercury stationing direct may allow greater translation at this time. Begin to pull your divination for the altar as described below.
What is necessary to release that is blocking the truest expression of:- Who I am
- The felt sense of my gifts
- My ability to move beyond
- My ability to perceive and receive as a facet of the divine
- My ability to speak truth to power
- My ability to see my purpose and path forward
- My ability to connect to the cosmic ocean and commit to growing that connection
- Add each card, rune, wax piece, or other tool upon the altar surrounding the Black Sacred Candle.
- Using your Unbecoming Zine, you may wish to add a page to thoroughly divine the truth of what is being called out here.
After the Full Moon it is recommended to visit the altar daily for a few minutes, lighting the candle, anointing your Unbecoming Zine with the Oil of Inanna, calling to her, seeing if any other messages or intuitive insights come to you. Near the next Dark Moon, burn the Unbecoming Zine in a ritual for yourself or join us for the Unbecoming Ritual here in Dark Goddess Collective!
